Exposure (Exposé album)

''Exposure'' is the debut album by the Miami-based Latin freestyle dance-pop trio Exposé, released on February 2, 1987. It reached number sixteen on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number twenty on the R&B albums chart and was certified double platinum by the RIAA in May 1990. The album spawned four top-ten singles on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart, including "Seasons Change", which topped the chart in February 1988. Other hit singles were the breakthrough hit "Come Go with Me" (#5 U.S.), a re-recorded version of the song "Point of No Return" (#5 U.S.) and "Let Me Be the One" (#7 U.S.). This was the first debut album by a group in ''Billboard'' history to feature four top-ten pop hits as Cyndi Lauper's ''She's So Unusual'' was the first debut album in the rock era to garner four top-ten singles.〔Bronson, Fred (2003). ''The Billboard Book of #1 Hits'', 5th Edition (Billboard Publications), page 691.〕
When first released, the album featured the original 1984 recording of "Point of No Return," with lead vocals by Alé Lorenzo. On all subsequent versions, including its release on compact disc, the re-recording with Jeanette Jurado on lead is featured, which was also the single version released to radio several years after the original made its rounds on urban radio and in clubs. However, all pressings of the album feature the original 1985 recording of "Exposed to Love", with lead vocals by Alé Lorenzo.
Lead vocals of the majority of the album were sung by Jurado. Gioia Bruno and Ann Curless each sing lead on two tracks, with Bruno on "Let Me Be the One" and "December," and Curless on "Extra Extra" and "Love Is Our Destiny." On the track "I Know You Know," Jurado sings lead, then Bruno provides a soulful improvisation at the end.
